The Stonecipher Symposium brings distinguished speakers and events to campus as a forum to discuss contemporary issues of concern to engineers, scientists, humanists and the general public. Students, as future leaders of our nation, are made aware of issues that are important to the development of a nation and a culture and are encouraged to participate and share their viewpoints.

In its eighth year, the Stonecipher Symposium continues to bring together students, scholars and representatives from industry, government and the community. The annual event is named for and partially funded by Harry Stonecipher, former president and CEO of The Boeing Company and 1960 Tennessee Tech physics graduate.
