Sue McGregor, coordinator/professor of peace & conflict studies and professor of education at Mount Saint Vincent University in Halifax, Canada Jeff Smith, author of Seeds of Deception who argues the dangers of genetically modified foods Stephen Smith, executive director of the Southern Alliance for Clean Energy Neal Stewart, holds the Racheff Chair of Excellence in Plant Molecular Genetics position at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville; he believes that many of the perceived risks of genetically modified plants are unnecessarily elevated. He argues that there are real and potential risks of growing engineered crops, but there are also real and overwhelmingly positive environmental benefits.
