Welcome to the site of the eighth annual Stonecipher Symposium on Technology, Communication and Culture. The event is sponsored by Tennessee Technological University and is named for Harry Stonecipher, distinguished TTU alumnus. The event will explore the implications of economic and resource sustainability in the midst of a growing consumer society.

The symposium will feature speakers on genetically engineered food, "green" power and business, and other issues related to resources and consumption.

Participants get the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to meet and learn from professionals who are working in the fields that are vital to modern culture.

The event is free and open to the public.
