Post Baccalaureate

The post-baccalaureate program is designed for individuals who have completed a bachelor's degree in an area that did not lead to teacher licensure. Each program includes the professional and teaching field requirements of the corresponding undergraduate initial endorsement area. Only when graduate courses adequately meet the required knowledge and skills specified by the Tennessee State Board of Education are substitutions allowed. Graduate courses taken for licensure  may be counted for advanced degree purposes, but only when submitted on a program of study and approved by the student's advisory committee, Department Chair, and Dean of the Graduate School. Students should refer to the TTU Graduate School Catalog for advanced degree requirements.
