Manufacturing Research Center secretary Sue Richardson was student Erika Knowles' guardian angel one bitterly cold day this year.

"The doors on my car were frozen," says Knowles. "Ms. Richardson came by and saw that I was having trouble. She took me to a convenience market to get some de-icer and even offered to pay for it. When she took me back to my car, she waited until I was able to open my doors and start the car.

"Ms. Richardson is a terrific asset to TTU and certainly worthy of this award."
