Library’s Champagne Gala follows Homecoming game Nov. 1

The 21st annual Friends of the Library Foundation’s Champagne Gala takes place from 7 to 9 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 1, following the Homecoming football game that afternoon.

Proceeds from the Gala — which will be held at the Cookeville/Putnam County Chamber of Commerce Leslie Town Centre, located at 1 W. First St. — will benefit the Angelo and Jennette Volpe Library & Media Center.

The cost of the event is $20 a person and includes champagne — as well as a selection of non-alcoholic beverages such as punch or coffee — and gourmet appetizers and desserts.

“With the decadent assortment of appetizers and desserts planned for this year, there will be something on the menu to please everyone’s tastes,” says Betty Case, an event organizer.

O.J. Cummins and the Four Horns, an easy listening jazz ensemble, will provide music.

“They’ve played at the Gala in the past, and their talent really sets the mood for the entire evening,” says Case.

For more information or for tickets, call Winston Walden at 3408 or Case at 537-9961.
