Get ready to jump, jive and wail for a good cause.
Our Music Therapy Student Organization is hosting
a swing dance from 7 to 10 p.m. on Friday, March 5, in the Multipurpose
Room, and proceeds will benefit local domestic and sexual violence
shelter Genesis House.
We organized this event intending not only
to promote music therapy, but also to help out a good cause in the
community, says Megan OConnor, organization president.
Weve done music therapy projects for Genesis House in
the past, so we were familiar with some of the needs of the organization.
The dance showcases high school jazz bands from
Crossville and Cookeville and our own Troubadours Jazz Band.
Free dance lessons will be offered from 6 to 7
p.m., and door prizes will be given throughout the event.
Advance admission is $8 ($15 a couple) and $9
($18 a couple) at the door.
For reservations or more information, call 3161.
