Tennessee Tech will soon join more than 200 other
universities as a member of the Internet2 consortium. Our participation
is partially supported by a National Science Foundation High Performance
Network Connection grant.
Grant participants are hosting an information
session from 11 a.m. to noon, Thursday, March 4, in Bruner 119,
to introduce high performance networks and Internet2 to campus.
In addition to describing what high performance networks and Internet2
are, the presentation will describe current plans for use at TTU
along with examples of how other universities are using Internet2
connectivity to enhance teaching and research across a multitude
of disciplines. There will also be time for questions and discussion
at the end of the session.
Faculty, staff and students are invited to attend.
