Student and parent Shannon Hood says her life would be a lot harder without teacher Shawn Patterson of the Child Development Lab's Toddler Room.

"Mrs. Shawn has such a way with the children in the CDL," says Hood. "My daughter thinks the world of her, and she always seems to know how to handle any situation. When I leave my daughter in Mrs. Shawn's care, I know that I have nothing to worry about. She even gets my daughter to nap better than I can at home.

"Mrs. Shawn has that 'magic touch' with children, and her love for her job and the children she works with everyday is apparent. I just wanted to nominate her for this as a small token of appreciation for taking care of my most prized possession so well each Monday through Friday!"
