If the new manager of our bookstore seems to have a familiar face, it’s because she does.

Angela O’Connor was promoted to the position last month when former manager Jimmy Grinnel moved to a Barnes & Noble store in North Carolina. O'Connor had been working as our assistant manager for about a year.

“Although I have more responsibilities now, I’m excited about the transition from assistant manager to manager,” she says.

O’Connor, a 2002 graduate of the University of Central Florida, has been working for Barnes & Noble since 1999 and came to us from Brevard Community College in Florida.

“I love working in a college environment," she says. "Being on a college campus is fun, and I look forward to being able to help enhance the quality relationship our bookstore already has with TTU’s academic departments."

Her responsibilities as manager include general merchandising and incorporating company goals, employee needs and campus and community outreach efforts.
