We'll be welcoming the newest members of the next class of TTU students to campus starting April 25-26, as this season's SOAR — student orientation, advisement and registration — sessions begin.

SOAR programs for new freshmen include two days of activities designed to help newcomers become acquainted with campus and prepare their academic schedules. SOAR activities for transfer students are packed into a single day.

Mark your calendars with the following schedule — and remember that all of us can make a difference in helping our newest students feel welcome on and connected to our campus.

* Sunday-Monday, April 25-26: Honors freshmen

* Monday, June 14: transfer students

* Thursday-Friday, June 17-18: high ACT freshmen

* Monday-Tuesday, June 21-22: new freshmen

* Thursday-Friday, June 24-25: new freshmen

* Monday-Tuesday, June 28-29: new freshmen

* Tuesday, July 20: transfer students

* Thursday-Friday, July 22-23: new freshmen

* Thursday-Friday, July 29-30: new freshmen

* Monday-Tuesday, Aug. 23-24: new freshmen
