If you're looking for a great way to usher in the hot days and balmy
nights of the next season, let the boys of summer help.
This year's "Tennessee Tech Night with the
Sounds" is set for Saturday, May 15, at Greer Stadium, where
the Nashville Sounds will take on the Portland Beavers.
For just $10, you can catch a minor league baseball
game, enjoy a picnic and be dazzled by a fireworks display. Plan
to get there early, as the Sounds will be giving away free baseballs
to the first 2,000 fans to arrive.
This year's event, coordinated by Alumni Relations,
features an all-you-can-eat meal at the stadium's picnic area, plus
door prizes and a post-game fireworks display. The picnic begins
at 4:30 p.m., and the game starts at 6 p.m. The picnic includes
hamburgers, hot dogs, chips, baked beans, potato salad and soft
drinks.
Tickets for adults are $10; youth tickets for
ages 2-12 are $5; and children under 2 are admitted free. Groups
and families may request seats together; Alumni Relations will try
to make your reservations as a group. Stadium parking is free.
For tickets, call 3205. Reservations should be
made by 4:30 p.m., Thursday, May 13. |
