Nominations for our 2005 Outstanding Staff Awards are being accepted through April 30.

Four awards of $500 each will be given in the fall to clerical and support staff who have shown excellence in their professional responsibilities and who have been regular employees of the university for at least three years.

The Outstanding Staff Awards Committee has worked hard to make sure that all support staff are equally considered. Last year, award procedures changed so that recipients will include two clerical staff members, one support staff member, and one technical support staff member. If there are no support staff nominated, there will be two technical awards; or if there are no technical support staff nominated, then there will be two support staff awards.

Last year's winners were Linda LeFever of Facilities, Vickie Mayberry of Mathematics, and Candace Norris of Business.

Nominations can be submitted online. Award policies and procedures and the printable nomination form can be found at www.tntech.edu/hr/staffawards/sahome.htm. Nominations should be submitted to the Human Resource Services no later than April 30.
