Jeff Holmes, engineering lab technician in Civil and Environmental
Engineering, recently spent a lot of late hours alongside students
preparing for the Southeastern Competition of the American Society
of Civil Engineers.
"Jeff stayed really late on multiple occasions
helping us fabricate our steel bridge," says student Wes Mittlesteadt.
"He was also helpful to us at the conference. Jeff is an employee
Tennessee Tech should be proud to have on staff."
The extra work paid off. Out of 23 teams from
throughout the Southeast, our students took fourth place overall
— and first in the Geotech competition.
