Life's "Great Move-In Day" is fast becoming a favorite
tradition of each fall semester, as faculty and staff leave their
offices to help students get situated in their new home away from
home.
To make the experience as seamless as possible
for our fall arrivals, Residential Life is asking for 225 volunteers
spread out over three shifts: 10 a.m.-2 p.m., 2-6 p.m., and 6-10
p.m.
Volunteers help direct traffic and parking, greet
parents and students, check students in, and sometimes even carry
luggage and other student belongings straight to the students' rooms.
You can sign up for exactly the shift, location
and job you want by visiting Residential Life's volunteer
registration site online. Visit the volunteer
site to see who's already signed up.
Residential Life is offering training sessions
soon; you'll be contacted by e-mail about the times and dates.
In the meantime, to schedule those sessions as
soon as possible, staff ask that you sign up for a shift no later
than Friday, July 22. If you have any questions, contact Al Roberson,
programming coordinator, at 6312 or aroberson.
