Recreation is starting the new year with new incentives to get fit:
free fitness classes from Aug. 29 through Sept. 2 and the Fall Fitness
Challenge, which offers prizes to participants in Fitness Center
classes.
Also this fall, the center can offer you new equipment,
new classes and new instructors.
New equipment includes yoga blocks and aqua dumbbells.
New classes are Power Yoga, Pilates-Mat Works, and a cross-training
class called "TTU-Triathlon" that will use bikes, the
track and the pool.
The Fall Fitness Class Challenge takes place over
the next six weeks, Sept. 6 to Oct. 14. Every time you take a fitness
class, you have a chance to win a t-shirt with the Fitness Class
Challenge logo or a fitness class punch card. All you have to do
is attend the class of your choice, fill out the registration slip
at the end of class and give it to the instructor. Every Monday,
two names will be drawn from the previous week’s attendees,
and they will receive the prizes.
The fall issue of Campus Recreation's newsletter,
Get Fit, will be arriving in campus mail soon; inside,
you'll find a list of the fall class schedule. Questions? Call 6511
or 6215.
