SEAC sponsors energy documentary Sept. 26

How would you like it if your energy bills decreased by up to $600 annually?

Our Student Environmental Action Coalition will help you learn how by presenting a documentary titled “Kilowatt Ours” at 7 p.m., Monday, Sept. 26, in Derryberry Hall Auditorium. The presentation is free and open to the public.

The film clues viewers in on how practical energy-saving techniques can be used in the best interests of both the environment and the consumer’s pockets.

“I hope this film sparks an energy conservation movement across the Southeastern United States, while boosting demand for clean renewable power in our region,” says filmmaker Jeff Barrie.

“Kilowatt Ours” concentrates on various environmental hazards, including mountaintop removal, air pollution and global warming. In the film, Barrie makes an 18-month journey across the Southeast to document both energy problems and solutions.
