Athletics is sending out "thank you" notes worth more
than a pat on the back — like free tickets to a pair of upcoming
basketball games in Eblen Center.
Tech will host two "Appreciation Nights"
for faculty and staff, as well as for every 2005-2006 basketball
season ticket holder.
"This is an opportunity for us to say 'thank
you' to our season ticket holders
and to recognize the efforts of our faculty and staff," says
Director of Athletics Mark Wilson. "It's a chance for them
to bring someone else to the games and share the fun of Tech basketball.
"By giving them each four tickets for each
night, we hope to encourage them to bring friends and neighbors
who might not be familiar with Tech basketball. We'd like to see
those new fans come to a game and experience the exciting atmosphere
in Eblen Center every time our teams play."
Tech has scheduled one Appreciation Night for
a men's game and one for a
women's game. The first is Tuesday, Nov. 22, when the Golden Eagles
host
Bluefield College at 7 p.m. The second is scheduled for Monday,
Dec. 5, when
the Eaglettes entertain Southern Illinois, also at 7 p.m.
Each faculty and staff member will receive vouchers
for each night. The
vouchers are also being provided to each 2005-2006 season ticket
holder. They
can redeem the vouchers for free tickets to those games.
The offer is also available to new season ticket
purchasers. For more
information or to order season ticekts, visit the Athletics Ticket
Office in
Eblen Center or call 3940.
