Planning Director Barry Stein's "professional service to the
university is impeccable," says graduate assistant Theresa
Ennis, who considers Stein a mentor through his role as professor
of Counseling and Psychology.
"For over a year, in addition to his regular
planning duties, Dr. Stein has been involved in the SACS accreditation
process for the university," she says. "He works from
early morning to well into the late afternoons, and also at home
on many evenings. He goes above and beyond the call of duty when
it comes to making sure the university is improving and enhancing
learning for students.
"Personally," Ennis adds, "Dr.
Stein has been an advisor and mentor to me for many years. I am
now going through the doctoral program, and he is my main advisor.
Dr. Stein always makes time for me and other students. He truly
cares about the success of his students and goes out of his way
to ensure we have the knowledge and tools to succeed."
