Indian Association of Cookeville will host its Diwali Night 2006
celebration on Saturday, Oct. 7, at 6 p.m. in the Multipurpose Room
of the Roaden University Center.
Diwali, which is referred to as the “Festival
of Lights,” is characterized by rows of lighted lamps.
The program will consist of a dinner of traditional
Indian foods and cultural programs such as music and folk dancing.
Ticket prices are $10, and they must be purchased
