A
fibers exhibit by Jeanne Brady titled "Cottonwood Summer: Revisiting
Nature" will be on display through Feb. 16 in Gallery One of
the Appalachian Center for Craft.
An artist’s reception is set for 5 to 7
p.m. tonight.
Brady is an associate professor of Art and the
head of the Fibers Department at TTU’s Craft Center.
Her work represents an ongoing visual journal
of her travels throughout the American landscape. The fabric pieces
are a re-visiting — not so much of a specific place, but of
the experience of that place. They are reminders of a need to slow
down, see beyond the surface into depths of movement and time, and
to be still long enough to revel in what is before her.
