James Mabery, graphic artist in the Office of Public Affairs, was selected by the Savannah College of Art and Design as the recipient of its Frances Larkin McCommon Scholarship. The $60,000 ($15,000 per year for four years) scholarship is awarded to a limited number of students who demonstrate superior artistic ability through portfolio presentation as judged by the scholarship review committee. Much of Mabery's portfolio included work produced at TTU. Mabery is enrolled in Savannah's online graphic arts program.
