May Ambassador

Lisa Maas regularly turns in banner performances in her role as a programmer/analyst in Information Technology Services.

As the university converts to Banner, a software that maintains records used by university personnel who deal with student records, payroll, finances, and financial aid, co-workers say Maas is a driving force who performs her part with a great attitude.

“Lisa is one of those employees who works really hard behind the scenes,” says Bursar Carolyn Gernt. “Her face may not be known to the majority of employees and students at TTU, but those who receive a paycheck are very thankful she’s here.” Account Clerk Sonya Haney says Maas has spent countless hours helping with Banner.

“She never gets upset and has kept me from getting overly upset on more than one occasion,” says Haney. “She works behind the scenes a lot, and most people don’t realize all the work she does.”

Ambassador nomination forms are available from Human Resource Services or by visiting www.tntech.edu/hr.
