Camuti honored for service by TACE

Alice Camuti, Director of Career Services, recently was awarded the prestigious Lumsden-Sellars award by the Tennessee Association of Colleges and Employers.

The Lumsden-Sellars award was established in 1990 to honor outstanding members of the Tennessee College Placement Association for exceptional service. The award recognizes one member for outstanding leadership, loyalty, and dedication to his or her profession and to TACE.

Camuti has held the position of our Director of Career Services for more than six years.  She holds a bachelor's degree in marketing from California State University, an MBA from Golden Gate University and is currently enrolled in the university’s Ph.D. program in exceptional learning.  She has held the position of treasurer, vice president/colleges and president-elect with TACE.  In addition to her work with TACE, she is currently the treasurer of the Society of Human Resource Management-Upper Cumberland Chapter.

Camuti lives in Cookeville with her husband, Andy, daughter, Ashlynne, and son, Alex.

The award presentation was made at the annual association meeting held at the Music City Sheraton before a group of 75 career and recruitment professionals.

TACE is an association of Tennessee colleges and universities, state and technical institutes, and employers of students and graduates of these institutions. Currently more than 175 professionals are actively involved in the organization.
