Tennessee Tech earned two honors at the Tennessee College Public Relations Association meeting held recently at Vanderbilt University.
The meeting, which brings together higher education public relations professionals from across the state, includes a Communications Awards competition each year.
Public and private colleges and universities statewide submit samples of recent work to be judged by independent advertising agencies. Tennessee Tech received the highest award, the gold award, for poster design and the silver award for our electronic newsletter, Tech Times.
Both of the award-winning submissions demonstrate the university’s efforts as a whole to use technology and creativity to its fullest, says Mark Hutchins, vice president for University Advancement.
“These awards are significant in that they reflect a quality of work that is recognized by experts outside the field of education,” Hutchins says. “This is one more way Tennessee Tech University displays a commitment to excellence. The entire university can be proud of this achievement.” |
