Jessica Matson, professor of Industrial and Systems Engineering, received the Fred C. Crane Distinguished Service Award from the Institute of Industrial Engineers. The award recognizes an individual's long and arduous service contributions to the institute. She accepted the award at the institute's 2007 Annual Conference and Exposition in Nashville last month. At the same conference, student Alison Wachs won first place in the Student Award for Excellence category for her distinguished undergraduate excellence and campus leadership. Student Jennifer Cloud earned third place for the same award.
