Integrating Media into the Classroom:  Practice and Case Studies
Cambridge Educational Production, 2005
Time:  20 minutes

Students today live in a media rich environment. Therefore media is necessary in order to get students excited about learning. Media itself is not instructional it is how one uses media that enhances instruction. This DVD is for the teacher that needs to learn ways to incorporate various forms of media into the course standards to help with student retention. The various types of media covered in this DVD are still pictures, video clips, DVD segments, and power point presentations.  A teacher’s guide is available on line.

Pathways to Lifelong Learning Technology in the Classroom
Sunburst Media, 2004
Time:  28 minutes

Feeling uncomfortable about technology in the classroom? Then this DVD is for you. The topics covered include how to incorporate technology into all parts of instruction from sets, to project based learning, graphic organizers, and rubrics. It also includes websites that offer helpful information. This would not be appropriate for classroom viewing (students would find the lecture format boring) but would be good for a school or county staff development or in service.
