How to Apply

Applying to be a student at Tennessee Tech is both quick and painless, so don’t delay! Depending on the time of year that you finish submitting your application materials, processing usually takes 4-6 weeks. We encourage all students to apply for admissions and scholarships before December 15th to meet the scholarship deadline.

Submit an application

For your convenience, we offer both online and paper applications. Simply fill out one of these and submit a $15 application fee according to the instructions following your application. If you have ever paid an application fee to TTU before, you need not do so again.

Mail transcripts

To accurately evaluate you for admissibility, you will need to submit official transcripts from your diploma-granting high school or GED. If you are a high school student taking dual-credit courses and/or AP exams, you will need to send these official transcripts as well. Applying freshman under 21 will need official ACT or SAT scores sent if they are not posted on the high school transcript. For those that are currently enrolled in high school, we can usually make a pending decision based on a partial transcript of just 6 or 7 semesters worth of grades

Official Transcripts
Hand-delivered transcripts, transcripts addressed to the student or marked "Issued to Student" or faxed copies of transcripts are not considered official for admission purposes. To be considered as "official transcripts", they must be mailed via US Postal Mail directly from the institution.

Send materials and the $15 application fee to:
