Tree House Environmental Learning Village

The Tree House Environmental Learning Village at New Hall North exists to encourage smaller, more personal groups within the larger university setting, to enhance student-faculty interaction beyond the classroom, and to increase positive student connections within the University. We are students, faculty, and Residential Life working together to create connections and a residential living experience conducive to support, student growth, and freedom to explore personal potential.

The Tree House provides ready-made opportunities for social life and study groups, for building new friendships from the very start of your college experience and connecting with faculty on a more face-to-face basis. Throughout the academic year, The Tree House will offer a variety of programs from service and volunteer endeavors to educational lectures and panels and field trips to pancake nights and parties and Open Mic nights. The hall will have study areas with tutoring opportunities as well as a classroom to be used for classes related to the Tree House theme or taught by the Village faculty. Students will also find additional student leadership opportunities in the Village Council.
