Microsoft FrontPage 2000 Import files or folders from a local source

FrontPage allows you to easily import specific files or import folders and their contents from your local hard drive or any local source (including removable disks and the Local Area Network).

Import files | Import folders

Import files from a local source: 

1. Select File --> Import
2. The Import box opens as show below

3. Click on the Add File... button
4. The Add File to Import List box will open and allow you to search your own PC as shown below

5. Select the file(s) that you want to import
   Note: You can choose as many files as desired to add to the list from the same directory or from anywhere on your hard drive (or from any removable disks). 
6. Click Open
7. The file(s) will be added to the import list as shown below

8. When you are through adding files to your import list click OK

The files will be imported into your web directory and they will show up in your folder list as shown below

Import a folder and its contents:

1. Select File --> Import
2. The Import box opens as show below

3. Click on the Add Folder... button
4. The Browse for Folder box will open and allow you to search your own PC as shown below

5. Select the folder that you want to import
   Note: You will only be able to view the folders, not the specific files within the folders.
6. Click OK
7. The folder and its contents will be added to the import list
8. Click OK
   FrontPage will begin to import your folder and its contents into the web directory.  It will add these files into a folder by the same name in your web directory.
