Counseling services at Tennessee Tech are designed to assist students in resolving the personal problems and conflicts that arise in the living-learning college environment. Problems in interpersonal relationships, depression, substance abuse and an inability to cope effectively are not uncommon. Individual consultation is available for any student concern. Strict confidentiality is maintained in the counseling process.
Many students are interested in improving themselves in a personal way and in improving their competence in interactions with others. A number of skill development programs are offered each semester for individual growth and fulfillment. These include career information and planning, stress management training, self-esteem training and test anxiety assistance.
