UNCLASSIFIED STUDENT

An unclassified student is one who is a baccalaureate graduate of Tennessee Technological University or another collegiate institution who is not working toward a graduate degree, but who takes graduate or undergraduate courses for credit. This category would include those who are working toward a second undergraduate degree, as well as students who are taking courses to be used for teacher certification. Such students, including those previously enrolled at Tennessee Technological University, must apply for admission as unclassified students. Unclassified students pay regular fees and those entering the University for the first time must pay the non-refundable application fee of $15. An unclassified student who is seeking another undergraduate degree should make application for graduation during the first semester of attendance. Unclassified students should not register for graduate courses without prior permission from the Associate Vice President for Research and Graduate Studies. Credit earned in this classification cannot be counted for graduate degree purposes.
