ADMISSION
BY EXAMINATION (GED)
Applicants who have
not graduated from high school but whose corresponding high school class has graduated
must submit an official transcript of the General Educational Development (GED)
Test. The minimum average score required on the GED test is 525, or an ACT composite
score of 19. An ACT score is required of all applicants who are under 21 years
of age or over 20 years of age and seeking majors in engineering, computer science,
or math. All GED students must be tested by the COMPASS/ASSET. (ACT scores less
than three years old may be substituted for COMPASS scores.) Applicants who earned
GED diplomas in 1989-1992 are subject to the foreign language unit requirement.
Applicants who earned GED diplomas in 1993 and after are considered to have met
all high school unit requirements except those in foreign language and visual
or performing arts.
