THE GRADUATE SCHOOLDEGREE PROGRAMS The Tennessee State Board of Education authorized the organization of a graduate program at Tennessee Technological University in May 1958. The first courses for graduate credit were offered in Summer 1958, and the first graduate degrees were conferred the following summer. In support of the objectives of graduate study, programs leading to advanced degrees are available in the various colleges as outlined below: College of Arts and Sciences Master of Arts:
