“Louisville is a great atmosphere, and I think
our kids, our fans and our alumni will really enjoy
it,” Brown said.
After opening last season 0-3, WMU posted a
5-7 overall record. That includes wins in their final
two games, highlighted by a 28-19 victory on
the road at Iowa.
It will be the first meeting between Tech and
WMU on the gridiron.
“These games will really challenge us,” Brown
said. “We had a tough decision to make in the offseason,
and that was whether to recruit junior college
players or to go with freshmen. Since it’s so
early in rebuilding the program, I went young. We
might pay for that early on, but I think it’s the right
way to go for us to win OVC Championships.”
