Volunteer Details
To volunteer, please come to the Service Center to see the available shifts for participation. Each shift is approximately four hours long and you should plan to work the entire shift. The shifts will begin with a safety briefing, and instructional plans and training on the work that will be done on that day. If you sign up to work on a specific day for a specific job activity, keep in mind that inclement weather will push back scheduled days of work and job activities will shift as well. If you agree to work on a specific day, you MUST attend on that day regardless of the activity on that day. You may sign up for more than one day, if desired. We encourage student groups to sign up as well. We will try to accommodate your group so that you may work all on the same shift. You should plan to arrive on time and sign in at the volunteer registration table located on the building site.
Schedule
Please show up to the job site 10 minutes before your shift begins to register. The schedule below will be updated daily to provide you with the current open times and days to volunteer. Slots will fill up quickly so visit the Service Center, RUC 108, at your earliest convenience to confirm your time to volunteer. We will try to accommodate your requests for available slots. Additional Slots will be held for TTU faculty and staff, please contact the center to see available faculty and staff slots for service.
Please see the above schedule for volunteering! Thank you!
What to wear

Other Ways to Get Involved
Collect Children's books for the Habitat Families of Putnam County.
Design informational brochures for the Putnam County Habitat office to disseminate. Topics include: Productive Educational Learning Environments and Practices; Personal Finance; Landscaping Tips; Nutrition Guides; and other ideas you may have.
Habitat is looking for engineering students to look at house plans to formulate a building guide for volunteers, and in addition, looking for ideas to modify houses to be more green.
We are encouraging student organizations to do a fundraising activity for financing the build. We are raising the final $20,000 as we speak. Please consider doing an activity that will help us to do this. You may do any kind of fundraising activity you choose to finance the TTU Habitat for Humanity house. Any funds raised by your group should be brought to Mr. Mark Hutchins, Vice President of University Development, Derryberry Hall room 300. The funds will be allocated to the Habitat House under our service learning initiative.
Any ideas for other ways to get involved can be approved through the Service Center RUC 108. Please come by.
