Vice President for Business and Fiscal Affairs
Dr. Claire Stinson
Dr. Stinson is the chief business and fiscal officer
of the University and responsible to the President for the receiving,
disbursement, and accounting of all monies due the University.
She is responsible for disbursing all funds in accordance with
the annual budget, for current funds of $126 million.
Through the Business Office and its staff members,
the Vice President makes purchases for the University. Stinson
also administers the financial and accounting aspects of student
loans, grants, and scholarships. The Vice President provides financial
management of auxiliary enterprises of the University, which includes
Dining Services and the Bookstore. She is also responsible for
the physical plant of the University and campus planning. In that
regard she supervises Plant Operations, Business Services, Buildings
and Grounds, Utilities and Telecommunications.
The Vice President serves as treasurer of University
foundations as required by their charters and bylaws. She also
serves on various University councils and committees and appointed
by the President.
The mission of this division is to:
- provide an accessible, pleasant and safe environment
for students, faculty and staff;
- protect the fiscal soundness of the University;
- provide management and oversight of employment
services and benefits; and
- provide quality auxiliary services to the campus
community.
