Sept. 11 Memorial planned this week at TTU

Over Labor Day weekend, 2,977 American flags were posted in the grass on Tennessee Tech University’s Main Quad to honor the victims of Sept. 11, 2001.

There will be a short dedication ceremony at 11:15 a.m. Sept. 8 on the quad, sponsored by the TTU Alumni Association, along with Kaylee Marie Radzyminski, founder of Tunes 4 the Troops and Mark Ochsenbein, director of Student Activities.

The flags will remain up until the end of the weekend. The public is welcome to attend the memorial.
