Two new learning villages opening, faculty heads needed for current villages

Faculty heads will be chosen to lead the two Learning Villages established this year (Service/Leadership and the Environment). Those selected will replace the Faculty heads currently in those roles, who will be moving to the two new Villages (focused on engineering and women) for Fall 2011. The Faculty head has broad responsibility for fostering the personal, social, and intellectual growth of students and for creating a strong sense of community. Preparation for relevant duties will begin this spring. The appointment term will be three years and is renewable. The position is open to anyone who will be a tenured, full-time TTU faculty member at the time of appointment. Compensation and support include an academic-year stipend of $5,000 and 50 percent release from one's normal teaching load.
