This committee works with all ASG committees and the Directors to publicize Honors/ASG events.
Chair Requirements:
- At the beginning of each semester, inform ASG committee chairs about the Publicity Committee's functions and deadlines.
- Organize a system for efficient distribution of fliers and posters across campus and, when applicable, throughout the community.
- Contact university calendars and local media community events calendars about Honors events when appropriate.
- Notify the Tech Times staff at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it at least one month prior to the event.
- Notify The Oracle three weeks prior to the event.
- Send fliers to WTTU one week prior to the event.
- Notify local media (Herald-Citizen, WCTE, WHUB, and WPLN) of Honors events open to the community, such as Honors Fora, by their respective deadlines.
- Create a list of deadlines and contact information for local media.
- Designate a person(s) to create fliers for events.
- Submit fliers and community information to Associate Director (or designee) for approval with adequate time for revision.
- Ensure that fliers are finished two weeks prior to the event.
