How to Setup Your TTU Email Account

All admitted students have an email account with TTU. Your new TTU email will be very important and useful. Financial Aid, Orientation, Residential Life and other offices will contact you through your TTU email. Students that would like to apply for university housing will first need to activate their TTU email account.

To locate your email address and sign into your Live @ EDU email account follow these steps:

  • Go to Eagle Online at
  • Choose “Enter Secure Banner Web Self Service"
    • You will need your Tech ID Number (T#) and PIN.
    • Tech ID: This was included in your "Thanks for applying email." You may also find this here.
    • PIN: This was printed on the top right-hand corner of your acceptance letter. If you've never reset this PIN, it is often initially set to your date of birth in its 6-digit format (mmddyy). If you changed your PIN but do not remember it, type in your Tech ID Number and then click “Forgot PIN” to answer your security question, or contact myTECH Helpdesk at 931-372-3975. If this is the first time you've logged in it will ask you to change your PIN and set a security question/answer.
  • Once logged into Eagle Online, go to "Personal Info" tab and click, "View Email Addresses".
    • Your TTU email address will be listed under the Campus Email heading. It will be similar to this format:
  • Next, go to
  • Login using your username (ex:fmlast42) and password (initially set to z?Tech ID with Capital 'T", ex: z?T00123456). Your “Username” is your email address WITHOUT the
    • Reenter your old password (initially set to z?Tech ID with Capital 'T", ex: z?T00123456) and create a new password. Your “New Password” must follow the requirements listed in the text.
  • Click “Ok”
    • Enter three (3) security questions with answers.
    • Click the 'Registration Details' tab to add a secondary email address in case you are locked out.

To forward your TTU email to another email address:

  • After logging into your TTU email account, click on "Options" (upper right-hand corner), then "See all options". On the right, click "Forward your email", and then at the bottom, under "Forward my email to:", type in the account you wish for your TTU email to be sent.
