Train-the-trainer Studio (TTS) educational modules are being developed to instruct STEM teachers on principles of AM and how to conduct AM courses and corresponding lab experiences. Studios will be offered by TTU each year (3 total) and by hub institutions once during the project (Year 1: EdCC, Year 2: UofL, Year 3: SCC). Participants in these TTSs will receive instruction and participate in hands-on labs. Studio teaching is a proven approach to teaching pedagogy that can be used to replace the standard lecture approach. A studio classroom can provide an active and cooperative learning environment. On-going support will be provided in the form of webinars and MOOCs. In addition, after TTS participants have had an opportunity to implement the educational materials, they will present their developed activities, feedback, and lessons learned to other TTS participants either remotely or face-to-face.
