The College of Business offers a number of majors and concentrations at the undergraduate level and has both a campus and 100% distance-based MBA degree that can be completed online. Our faculty has a strong teaching methodology as well as a focus on research that contributes to the richness of student learning.

Our faculty are sensitive to the educational needs of our students and strive for excellence in teaching both hard and soft skills and content. The College provides many experiential learning and professional development opportunities both inside and outside the classroom.
We seek to educate business leaders and potential leaders who are capable of making lasting contributions to business and society and who are also skilled in using an interdisciplinary approach to decision making in an increasingly global and technology-dependent business environment.
Our faculty engage primarily in applied research and scholarly activities that provide insights into business practice. We believe such scholarly activity should be a career-long endeavor of faculty engaged in educating current and future business leaders and that such activity enhances the effectiveness of classroom instruction and external interaction.
Our faculty share their expertise to benefit external constituencies and create opportunities for students to apply their skills and knowledge. We believe these activities and involvement with business and government leaders significantly increase the abilities of faculty to deliver current information in the classroom and that they build important bridges between the academic community and our external constituencies.

The college's undergraduate, MBA, and accounting programs are each accredited by The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB International). For more than a century, AACSB accreditation has been synonymous with the highest standards in business education and has been earned by only 5 percent of the world's schools offering business degrees at the bachelor’s level or higher Quality and Distinction in Business Education. College of Business has successfully met the standards that require excellence in areas relating to teaching, research, curricula development; student learning; strategic management and innovation; student, faculty, and staff as active participants; and academic and professional engagement.

The College of Business
Faculty, administration, staff, and students in the College of Business at Tennessee Technological University are guided by the core values of honesty, personal integrity, respect for others, and business professionalism. To elucidate and underline the importance of these core values, all members of the College of Business at Tennessee Technological University agree to commit themselves to the following code of ethics. By code of ethics we mean a set of principles or values that we believe should govern our actions and behavior in our dealings with each other and the business community. Our code of ethics is meant to provide for mutual respect among the members of the academic community and to assure the success of our College’s academic mission.
Faculty, Administration, and Staff Code of Conduct
As a fundamental part of its mission, the College of Business recognizes the importance of preparing our students to become "ethical business leaders." The same concern for ethics and ethical behavior extends to our faculty, administration, and staff. In particular, the university presumes that "the classroom instructor, by virtue of the University's decision to hire him/her in an instructional capacity, is assumed to be an ethical person dedicated to the maintenance of high professional standards." Our code entails certain minimum obligations. Among those obligations, in accordance with Faculty Handbook guidelines, we expect our faculty, administration, and staff  to:
- Accommodate diversity by refraining from discrimination or harassment based on age, ethnicity, gender, religion, national origin, sexual orientation, disability, or political belief.
- Conduct classes in a manner that encourages the free flow of ideas between faculty and students, while being consistent with the goals of the class.
- Provide a classroom setting where critical treatment of material that fosters ethical, or normative, thinking about issues is consistent with the goals of the class.
- Maintain integrity and honesty in their personal research and teaching.
- Maintain a professional approach in all relationships with students.
- Practice disclosure in their use of institutional resources and outside institutional activities involving financial or in-kind remuneration.
- Refrain from knowingly making false or malicious statements affecting students, faculty, colleagues, or administration.
- Refrain from falsifying facts relating to his or her academic or professional qualifications.
- Recognize and follow all copyright laws on articles, textbooks, computer software, etc.
- Neither offer nor accept gratuities, gifts, or favors that might impair the professional judgment, damage the reputation, or result in personal gain of the faculty member or others.
- Support students rights to privacy under the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act by maintaining the confidentially of academic records and private communications.
Student Code of Conduct
Students will not engage in or condone academic deceit, dishonesty or misrepresentation, such as:
- Receiving or using unauthorized or prohibited information, resources or assistance on an examination or assignment.
- Committing plagiarism (see student handbook) on any examination or assignment.
- Submitting another person’s work, in whole or in part, as the student’s own work.
- Submitting an examination or assignment that the student has previously submitted for credit in another course, without express approval from the professor in each of the courses.
- Damaging or misappropriating any college property or resources, including technology.
Along with others in the College of Business, students are encouraged to monitor suspected violations of the Tennessee Technological University College of Business Student Code of Conduct, as defined herein.

 Obligations that affect classroom instruction would apply only to those who teach.
