Welcome to the Department of Accounting
Welcome to the homepage of the Tennessee Tech Department of Accounting. We are proud of our long tradition of strong teaching and mentoring, and we have a heritage of building strong relationships with our graduates and stakeholders. As you progress in your education, we work with our students to help them to understand the social and professional expectations of today’s rapidly changing business environment.
Our courses are offered both on the beautiful Tennessee Tech campus and also online, providing students multiple options that allow them to work around their busy schedules. In addition to our strong undergraduate program, students have the option to continue their education in our Master of Accountancy program.
Drop by Johnson Hall Room 210 to discuss the opportunities or contact the Department for more information.

The College of Business is internationally accredited by the AACSB. In addition, the Accounting Program also holds separate AACSB, accreditation, an honor held by only a fraction of all AACSB schools. The Accounting Accreditation Process is similar to the Business Accreditation Process, except it focuses on a school’s accounting programs. It also includes a rigorous self-evaluation and peer-review process.
The Department of Accounting offers education at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. Our undergraduate Accounting major consists of 21 hours of upper division accounting in addition to the business core. At the graduate level, the Department offers a Master of Accountancy.
