By analyzing these market changes using economics, certain conclusions can be made on the potential outcomes for society. The supply and demand of healthcare, the role of government, healthcare as a public good, single-payer systems, and the physician’s services market are some of the topics this course covers. As healthcare issues continue to present challenges far into the future, this course offers a way to think critically about the problems facing society and their potential solutions.
