Master's of Accountancy Program for Aspiring CPAs

In an effort to address the difficulties applicants are encountering in taking graduate school entrance exams, the College of Business is temporarily waiving GMAT and GRE testing requirements for students applying to the university’s graduate degree programs for both summer and fall 2020 semesters. All other requirements should still be met for admission into the graduate program.

For students coming to Tennessee Tech from countries where English is not the first language, Educational Testing Service (ETS) has introduced secure TOEFL in-home testing. We are also accepting the Duolingo test.

 

The first and only program of its kind in the state, the hybrid MAcc program was designed to allow students to simultaneously earn a Master's degree and sit forApply Now the Certified Public Accountant’s (CPA) exam. The goal of the program is to prepare students for successful careers in accounting, with an emphasis on professional certification and fundamental business skills.

Tennessee Tech’s MAcc program represents the first hybrid Master's of Accountancy program available in the state of Tennessee. While the majority of the program’s content is delivered online, presenting a unique benefit to working professionals, the online content will be supplemented with two weekend residencies. Residencies will focus on professional development, peer networking, and application of content.

Participants in the MAcc program will receive course credit for the preparation and completion of the four parts of the CPA exam (Business Environment and Concepts, Audit, Regulation, and Financial Accounting and Reporting). This allows students to prepare and sit for the CPA as part of their comprehensive program of study.

CPA BadgeThe MAcc program offers an immense added value with its hybrid component and focus on professional certification. Participants in the program will pay the same tuition and fees as students in our traditional online MBA program, with the only additional cost being Becker CPA exam preparation materials.
