Human Resource Management helps an organization make the best use of its most valuable asset: its people. The Human Resources function helps an organization select the best employees, develop them to meet their full potential, and reward them in ways that foster individual and organizational success.

What can I do with a Human Resource Management degree?
Human Resource Management graduates are hired in a wide variety of organizations including financial institutions, health care providers, manufacturing companies, and consulting firms. Entry-level jobs include recruiters, compensation analysts, and human resource assistants.

Human Resource Management at Tennessee Tech
The Human Resource Management curriculum offers specialized instruction in compensation, staffing, training, and legal issues. SHRM, the Society for Human Resource Management, is open to all students interested in the Human Resource Management field. This organization provides a great opportunity to learn from local area Human Resource Management professionals. Student chapter dues are $15 per semester.
