Winters are mild (averaging about 8 inches of snowfall per year) and summers are somewhat hot and humid, though not unbearably so. Cookeville has a symphony orchestra, a community chorus, theater groups, and other cultural amenities. You’ll find it’s an easy drive to Nashville or Knoxville for an evening out. The cost of living is lower here than in most parts of the country and housing costs are quite reasonable.
