Graduate Scholarships

SCOTT AND CHRISTINE NORTHRUP OUTSTANDING TEACHING ASSISTANT AWARD ENDOWMENT:
Recipients for this scholarship must be prospective or current students in good standing in accordance with current institutional policies. Recipients will be chosen by a committee which will consider high ethical standards, dependability, punctuality, preparedness, teamwork, dedication to teaching, and a demonstration of a high level of professionalism.
STUDENT RESEARCH DEVELOPMENT AWARD:
This award was created by the faculty of the Chemistry Department to support students in undergraduate/graduate research. Students write a proposal which includes a budget of expenditures necessary for carrying out their proposed research activities. If the student completes the requirements of this endeavor, which includes writing a final report, they are eligible for the Student Research Award (Graduate or Undergraduate).


VERNON ALLEN FAST-TRACK MS AWARD:
Given annually to Junior that wishes to enter our 4+1 BS/MS program at Tennessee Tech. The award covers the additional cost of graduate coursework taken while an undergraduate during their senior year.
OUTSTANDING TEACHING ASSISTANT AWARD:
Given annually to a graduate recognized for excellence in instruction.
DR. LAMAR AND MARILYN A. PARKER CHEMISTRY ENDOWMENT:
This endowment may be used to support the educational efforts of graduate students in the Department of Chemistry as determined by the Chemistry Department chair.
DR. AND MRS. JAMES P. CLEVELAND CHEMISTRY SCHOLARSHIP ENDOWMENT:
Applicants for this scholarship must be permanent US residents and must be full-time, currently enrolled students in good standing in accordance with current institutional policies. Students must also be in pursuit of a graduate or undergraduate degree in one of the recognized branches of Chemistry.
