Dr. Ted Pelton interviewing author Margaret Atwood in Foster Hall, November 3, 2015
The concentration in Writing/Language/Genre offers
English majors the chance to focus their studies on the writing itself. If you
choose this concentra-tion, you have two options. You may choose the creative
writing option with poetry, non-fiction, fiction, grammar, and linguistics
courses to sharpen your talents as a creative artist and wordsmith.
Creative writing workshops in fiction, poetry, and the essay may be repeated provided the content is different each time. Or you may
take classes in rhetoric and argumentation and writing in the profession to
develop your expertise in writing studies.
The University Catalog outlines the
curriculum for this concentration.
